AMR GLOBAL PREPARATORY MEETING - 31 March 2009
Alongside with the national and regional preparations the Global Preparatory Meeting (GPM) was held in New York. The GPM constituted an important part of the preparations for the AMR and served as a key input to the Report of the Secretary-General on the achievements in the area of health, as well as the Ministerial Declaration. Further, the GPM provided an opportunity to assess:
- the status on achieving the international goals on global public health
- the impact of the world financial crisis on the achievement of the international health goals
- the health challenges in post crisis situations
