On 22 February 2024, the Office of Legal Affairs welcomed 24 participants from 17 countries to the聽2024 United Nations Regional Course in International Law for Africa. The Regional Course for Africa, which is held at the United Nations Conference Centre in Addis Ababa, is organized in cooperation with the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia,聽 the African Union and the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa. The Regional Courses in International Law are conducted under the mandate of the United Nations Programme of Assistance in the Teaching, Study, Dissemination and Wider Appreciation of International Law. Mr. Markus Pallek, Secretary of the Advisory Committee on the Programme of Assistance delivered opening remarks.
