In this session, DPPA and OCT discussed behavioural science applications in the context of peace and security with Professor Mina Cikara, Professor of Psychology and director of the Intergroup Neuroscience Lab at Harvard University and Andr¨¦s Casas, founder of the Neuropaz initiative.

The future of behavioural science in peace and security offers a nuanced approach to tackling global conflicts and threats, leveraging deep insights into human psychology and behaviour. With advancements in technology, these insights lead to more precise, culturally sensitive strategies for conflict prevention and resolution. This approach signals a shift towards interventions that address the root causes of conflict, emphasising human-centric solutions and ethical considerations.
