Civil Society Chat Series

The Tuesday Chat Series provides a platform for civil society organizations and the Civil Society Unit of the United Nations Department of Global Communications (DGC) to engage in an informal discussion on thematic issues. It is an occasion for UN Civil Society Unit, civil society organizations and their respective partners to boost advocacy on key United Nations priority issues, share resources and best practices.

Organized monthly at the Civil Society Resource Centre, the Tuesday Chat Series is open to representatives of the organizations formally associated with DGC who wish to join the conversation about ideas, initiatives, and best practices to help civil society organizations advance positive change and promote the United Nations agenda.

Why participate?

  • Promote knowledge of the UN principles and activities in accordance with the organization's own aim and purposes
  • Engage and educate communities worldwide, and encourage support for the ideals and activities of the United Nations
  • Foster a dialogue and incorporate a call to action with global constituencies such as other United Nations Specialize Agencies, Programmes, academia, civil society, the private sector and/or youth
