Summary
Achieving Social and Global Responsibility by Cultivating 国产AV Within
Moderated by George Anthony from Pathways to 国产AV, the second DPI NGO Tuesday Chat Series of the Spring Session highlighted the importance of spreading global peace by embracing inner peace.
Ms. Lily Gray, United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) Liaison Officer to the United Nations, opened the floor by talking about the work and activities carried out by UNESCO to promote a culture of peace and non-violence. She explained that UNESCO focuses on education and that the main challenge is that 1 out of 5 children worldwide is out of school. Mr. Ken Druck, Author of “Courageous Aging: Your Best Years Ever Reimagined,” continued the session by sharing his personal and professional experiences and thoughts on the ways that fear can be turned into compassion and lead to culture of peace.
Linking The topic of the Chat Series with the International day of Happiness, George Anthony highlighted the fact that both peace and happiness cannot be achieved if people are still experiencing or suffering from violence, and that the key to achieve happiness is to turn it into hope, which led him to the introduction of the last speaker. Mr. Robert Strock, Founder, Humanistic Spirituality, talked about the personal connection to suffering and wellbeing, explaining that when facing a challenge, the first step is to be aware of it and embrace the wish to heal, to achieve wellbeing.
The session takeaway was to embrace the challenge of building a peaceful mind to work towards a peaceful future.
