Venue: Jazz at Lincoln Center’s Frederick P. Rose Hall

Event Summary:

Since the early 1990s, the United Nations Department of Global Communications (formerly known as Department of Public Information - DPI) has partnered with the New York Festivals, awarding annual UN/DPI awards in three competitions – for the best in Film and Television Programming, Advertising and Public Service Announcements, and Radio Programming. The UN/DPI awards are seen as an important form of encouragement to the industry to continue to address global themes; they also provide a unique opportunity to raise the visibility of the UN within the industry. Agencies from every region in the world – including many of the largest and best known in the industry – submit entries for consideration. While the Film and Television awards are presented each year in Las Vegas, the most recent Advertising and PSA Awards were presented at Jazz at Lincoln Center’s Frederick P. Rose Hall, while the Radio Awards were presented at a gala dinner at the Manhattan Penthouse.
