UNDT/2012/001, Adholla

UNAT Held or UNDT Pronouncements

An appeal to an internal review panel established for such purpose did not amount to a written request for management evaluation addressed to the Secretary-General.

Decision Contested or Judgment Appealed

The Applicant staff member of the ICTR held a fixed term appointment which was due to expire on 31 December 2011. In October 2011 she was informed that her contract was not to be renewed. The Applicant challenged this decision through the internal ‘retention review’ mechanisms established at the ICTR, which is downsizing. Finding no success there, she appealed for suspension of action to the UNDT, filing her application on 29 December 2011.
