About the event
The event entitled “Advancing forest-based climate action: interlinkages between Nationally-determined Contributions and Voluntary National Contributions” will be held on Thursday 13 December 2018 from 3:00 pm. to 4:00 pm. at the SDG Pavilion (Ground Floor – Pavilion E), Katowice International Congress Center, during the twenty-fourth session of the Conference of Parties to the UNFCCC in Katowice, Poland.
The event will showcase the important role of forest-based actions to combat climate change through coherent implementation of the 2030 Agenda, the Paris Agreement, and the UN Strategic Plan for Forests 2030. The event will bring together high-level representatives and technical experts from Member States, international organizations and other stakeholders to highlight the role of the voluntary actions and initiatives in the attainment of the Sustainable Development Goals, Paris Agreement, and the Global Forest Goals.
