Matching Quantity With Quality: How Multi-Stakeholder Dialogue Can Enhance Financing for Development
Organised by
- Government of Uganda
- CSO Partnership for Development Effectiveness
- Government of Sweden
Summary
Effective development cooperation has been intertwined with Financing for Development (FFD) since the first FFD conference in Monterrey. Subsequent meetings in Rome, Paris, Accra and Busan confirmed the importance of keeping these two agendas together. Through the Global Partnership for Effective Development Co-operation (GPEDC) established in Busan, the international community has introduced a partnership model which can improve development finance mechanisms through inclusive multi-stakeholder dialogue. This side event, co-organised by Uganda, the CSO Partnership for Development Effectiveness (CPDE) and Sweden as proactive GPEDC supporters, will look at what works and what doesn’t when this model is applied on the ground.
