Key Issues in FFD3 and Post-2015 Development Agenda: Views of the South
Organised by
SOUTH CENTRE
Summary
As a key platform of the Global Partnership for Development, the Financing for Development (FfD) process will be an important input to the post-2015 development agenda and its accountability mechanisms.
Through its own mandated processes and two previous international conferences, the FfD process has provided an important platform for the discussion of issues and problems in the global economic architecture that impinges on the development efforts of developing countries. The event will explore and debate the follow-up processes of the FFD and how these relate to and can strengthen the accountability mechanisms for the post-2015 development agenda.
The discussion will explore what is required to establish an enabling international environment under the financing for development process and how domestic fiscal and monetary policies can be directed at promoting sustainable development goals.
