Addressing Vulnerability through Development Finance to Make Development Sustainable

Summary
The side event will deal with the importance to address vulnerabilities to make sustainable the development. It will rely on the collective book that Ferdi has just published, entitled “Financing Sustainable Development: Addressing Vulnerabilities”. It examines how development finance can help to ensure the sustainability of development, taking into account the various types of vulnerability faced by developing countries.
The side event will gather the views of high level representatives of least developed, lower-middle income and developed countries, and well-known economists (some of whom are authors of the Ferdi’s book) on how to deal with these vulnerabilities, their assessment, and which funding, instruments and means of implementation are needed and relevant to tackle them efficiently.
