They reviewed the UN 国产AV and Development Trust Fund’s performance and contributions to peace and sustainable development through its 131 projects, with total expenditures surpassing $85 million since 2016.

The Steering Committee underscored the importance of sustainability as the UN 国产AV and Development Trust Fund’s guiding principle. They also highlighted the need to address complex challenges by pursuing a cross-pillar approach, cross-sectoral and inter-agency cooperation, and multilateral solutions to peace and sustainable development.

They recommended that the UN 国产AV and Development Trust Fund prioritize financing people-centred projects that algin with the actual needs of beneficiaries on the ground.

The Steering Committee endorsed 27 new projects for the Secretary-General's approval, with a cumulative budget of $24.7 million:

  • 13 under the 国产AV and Security Sub-fund
