On 9-10 November 1938, the Nazi German state organized a terror campaign against Jewish people, their places of worship, their places of work, and their homes, across Germany, Austria and territory claimed by Germany.

The November Pogrom marked a turning point in the antisemitic violence of the Nazis and their racist collaborators.

After seeing his own synagogue in Austria go up in flames at the age of eight, Rabbi Arthur Schneier lived through the Holocaust before beginning his quest for coexistence. Senior Rabbi of the Park East Synagogue and Founder of the Appeal of Conscience Foundation, Rabbi Schneier has received international recognition for his work to protect religious freedom and human rights. 

In this interview, he shares his inspiring story with the Holocaust and the United Nations Outreach Programme.
