Did you know that the Security Council adopted a resolution on conflict-induced hunger in 2018? Or that it held a total of 288 meetings in which Poland, one of the non-permanent members, delivered 170 statements?
All these fascinating details about the work of the Security Council can be discovered in the Index to Proceedings (ITP) and we are pleased to announce that the 2018 edition has just been published and can be consulted online.
The Index to Proceedings gives insight into how various issues were brought before the Security Council for discussion and action, and which decisions were taken by the 15 Security Council members on questions of global concern. Document references link to full text online versions of each document. The Index is divided into two parts: a subject index and an index to speeches.
The Index to Proceedings includes:
? Information about membership and each member’s terms of office
? List of presidents
? Checklist of meetings
? List of ad-hoc committees
? Agenda with corresponding subject headings
? List of documents
? List of adopted resolutions
? Voting chart for adopted resolutions
