MARRAKECH, 19 March 2019 –?Senior government officials and experts from landlocked developing countries (LLDCs), transit developing countries and development partners meeting in Morocco have called for stronger regional cooperation on transit policies and greater support in areas including connectivity in transport, energy and information and communication technologies infrastructure, export diversification, value addition and trade facilitation.
BANGKOK, 12 February 2019 – Today, senior government officials and experts from landlocked developing countries (LLDCs), transit developing countries and development partners, concluded in Bangkok, Thailand, a Euro-Asian regional meeting on the Mid-term Review of the Vienna Programme of Action (VPoA), identifying progress and challenges in the implementation of the VPoA in Europe and Asia.
The policy briefs focus on links between SDG 7 and the SDGs that will be under review at the 2019 High-level Political Forum on Sustainable Development (HLPF) taking place in New York, ?namely SDG 4 (quality education), SDG 8 (decent work and economic growth), SDG 10 (reduced inequalities), SDG 13 (climate action), SDG 16 (peace, justice and strong institutions), and SDG 17 (partnerships for the Goals), which is reviewed annually.?The report comes at the midpoint of the UN Decade of Sustainable Energy for All 2014-2024, and was launched during a midpoint review?conducted at t
