SDG Global Festival of Action
The fifth SDG Global Festival of Action, powered by the UN SDG Action Campaign, finds new ways to inspire, mobilize and connect people and organizations to take action on the SDGs. How to Incentivize Food Loss and Waste Reduction

Global Agriculture Innovation Forum
The Global Agriculture Innovation Forum is a joint undertaking between USDA鈥檚 Foreign Agricultural Service and Purdue University鈥檚 Office of International Programs in Agriculture. The Forum will be valuable to entrepreneurs, producers, value-chain operators, service providers, and researchers, as well as donor agencies and implementing partners and will consist of a series of virtual events held throughout 2021. Transforming Agriculture in African Least Developed Countries
As part of the Africa Regional Review of Least Developed Countries (22-26 February 2021), co-hosted by the UN Economic Commission for Africa and the Government of Malawi, the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) is leading a session on 鈥淭ransforming Agriculture for Sustainable Development and Food Security in African Least Developed Countries鈥. The session's keynote speech will be given by FAO鈥檚 Chief Economist, Maximo Torero, and closing remarks provided by UN Special Envoy for the Food Systems Summit, Agnes Kalibata. CCGP32 - Sanitary measures and trade in Africa: priority to food safety
The French government will convene the first virtual session of a technical committee with a focus on the modernization of the elaboration process of world reference standards dedicated to food safety and quality in international trade. A side-event in the margins of the plenary session will be dedicated to the project of harmonizing food laws at the continental level, a key for the success of the free-trade African continental area initiated by the African Union in 2019.
