Overview
The Population Division of the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs organized an expert group meeting on challenges and opportunities of international migration for development in the Arab region. The meeting was held at the United Nations in New York on 3 December 2012. The meeting brought together experts on the demographic aspects of internal and international migration and their relevance for development. The meeting was held in preparation for the forty-sixth session of the Commission on Population and Development which would focus on this topic in April 2013. |
